The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) of Rajasthan has issued a tender worth ₹163.97 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The tender calls for retrofitting work aimed at providing water supply through Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) in 108 MH and 453 other habitations across the Nagaur, Khinvsar, and Mundwa blocks of Nagaur district.
The project scope includes laying cluster rising mains, constructing new Overhead Service Reservoirs (OHSRs), connecting these reservoirs to both existing and new rising mains, and developing internal village distribution networks. The work also involves the provision and replacement of cluster pumps, online boosters, and FHTCs. This extensive project is designed to ensure reliable water supply to thousands of households.
The initiative is part of Phase-I, Package-2, Part-C of the mission in the region. It will be completed within a period of 20 months, with a one-year defect liability period post-completion, followed by a ten-year operation and maintenance phase. This reflects the government's commitment to long-term water security and infrastructure sustainability in rural areas.
Interested bidders must submit their proposals by 17 September 2024. This project is a critical step in enhancing water access in Nagaur district, in alignment with the broader goals of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
