NBCC stitches up Rs 216 crore NIFT campus contract in Varanasi

National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has secured a lucrative contract valued at Rs 216 crore from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The scope of the project involves the construction of the NIFT Campus in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, along with the necessary modifications to the existing trade facilitation centre as an integral part of the campus.

This particular work order falls under the category of project management consultancy (PMC) and operates on a deposit work basis. Notably, in December 2023, NBCC successfully clinched two consultancy work orders amounting to Rs 180 crore. Among these was a significant contract from SAIL DSP, Durgapur, encompassing diverse construction and renovation tasks valued at Rs 150 crore.

In addition to these achievements, NBCC has also been entrusted with a construction project for the permanent building of a Composite Regional Centre (CRC) in Samba, Jammu, with a total contract value of Rs 29.70 crore. It is worth mentioning that NBCC primarily operates in the realms of project management consultancy (PMC) and real estate businesses.
