In a significant step toward clean energy expansion, Premier Energies is set to invest ₹5,942 crore to establish a fully integrated solar manufacturing complex at the Naidupeta Industrial Park in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh.
Announcing the project, Minister for IT Nara Lokesh credited Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly policies, efficient governance, and strategic port-led logistics for facilitating the investment. Discussions began in October 2024, and by February 2025, the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) had allotted 269 acres for the facility.
The upcoming complex will feature a 4 GW TOPCon solar cell line and a 5 GW silicon ingot and wafer plant, enabling complete backward integration across the solar value chain. The project is expected to generate around 3,500 direct jobs, spur MSME development, and strengthen India’s domestic renewable manufacturing capacity.
Minister Lokesh emphasized that Naidupeta’s strong infrastructure and port connectivity will ensure timely execution. Positioned within Andhra Pradesh’s renewable manufacturing corridor, the project is set to make the state a leading hub for next-generation photovoltaic technology and green industrial growth.
