New Horizons: The Fern’s Latest Gem in the Heart of Kerala

The Fern Hotels & Resorts has signed The Fern Residency Thekkady, Series by Marriott, located in Kerala’s Idukki district, further strengthening its presence in South India.

With this signing, the Group’s portfolio in the region has expanded to 14 operational and upcoming properties. Scheduled to open in the second half of 2026, the hotel will feature 50 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites that combine contemporary aesthetics with comfort, catering to both leisure and business travellers. The property will offer an all-day dining restaurant, a conference room, and two banquet halls, making it suitable for corporate meetings, destination events, and social functions.

Strategically located in Thekkady, the hotel is expected to appeal to travellers seeking nature-based and culturally immersive experiences, while reinforcing the Group’s commitment to responsible and experience-led hospitality. Emphasising the importance of such destinations, Suhail Kannampilly, Managing Director of The Fern Hotels & Resorts, noted that leisure destinations with strong ecological and experiential appeal are shaping the next phase of hospitality growth in India.
