NHAI Seeks Tech Wizard! Bidding Open for Layout Plan MSC

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has opened bids to hire a technical consultant for developing and implementing an automated layout plan approval system. This initiative aims to streamline the approval process, making it more efficient and transparent.

The selected consultant will be responsible for creating and customizing a solution that automates various stages of the layout plan approval. This includes the empanelment of architects, online submission of documents, online fee payment, architect registration, and the scrutiny of submitted plans. Additionally, the system will facilitate the approval of layout plans, reporting of discrepancies, and issuance of relevant approvals, rejections, and certificates.

The assignment is structured to span an initial implementation period of six months, followed by three years of maintenance under an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC). This period is intended to ensure the solution remains functional and up-to-date, supporting the continuous needs of the NHAI.

Bidders must submit their proposals by July 3, 2024. The NHAI's initiative reflects its commitment to leveraging technology to improve procedural efficiency and service delivery in infrastructure development.

This move is expected to significantly reduce the time and effort involved in the approval process, benefiting both the architects and the NHAI. The system's automation features will likely lead to quicker turnaround times and enhanced accuracy in the approval process.
