Odisha's Next Big Build: Patharla ISS Tender Announced

The Odisha Construction Corporation has floated a tender for the comprehensive construction of an in-stream storage structure (ISS) at Patharla, across the River Indra/Sundar in Bolangir district.

The scope of work includes hydro-mechanical components, power supply, road connectivity, and construction of staff quarters. It also involves survey, investigation, planning, detailed design, cost estimation, and post-commissioning operation and maintenance for five years or five flood seasons—whichever is longer.

The project has a completion period of 30 months, accounting for the monsoon season to ensure uninterrupted execution. Bidders must demonstrate proven technical expertise and prior experience in large-scale irrigation and flood management projects.

The last date for bid submission is October 23, 2025.
