OHPC Seeks Bids for 600 MW Pumped Storage Project

Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) has invited bids for the design, manufacturing, erection, testing, and commissioning of four vertical Francis reversible pump-turbines—each with a capacity of 150 MW—totaling 600 MW for the Upper Indravati Pumped Storage Project (UIPSP) at Ranibahal in Kalahandi district.

The turnkey EPC contract includes the supply and installation of motor-generator sets, auxiliary and ancillary systems, and the construction of power evacuation infrastructure. The scope also covers comprehensive civil, hydro-mechanical, and electrical works to ensure seamless integration and operational reliability.

Designed to support peak load management, grid balancing, and renewable energy integration, the UIPSP is a key component of Odisha’s broader strategy to enhance energy security and sustainability.

The deadline for bid submission is 19 September 2025.
