Oil India's CBG Push: 160 TPD Plant Coming to Agartala!

Oil India has invited bids to set up a 160 TPD municipal solid waste (MSW)-based compressed biogas (CBG) plant in Agartala, Tripura.

The project will process 80 TPD mixed MSW and 80 TPD source-segregated MSW for commercial CBG production. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, transportation, and commissioning of the plant, followed by a ten-year operation and maintenance agreement. The total contract duration is 21 months from the issuance of the Letter of Award (LOA), with operations commencing once the contractor completes mobilization and is ready to begin plant activities.

The EPCOM (engineering, procurement, construction, operation & maintenance) model ensures single-point responsibility for the plant’s complete implementation.

The deadline for bid submission is 20 November 2025.
