Otis India Wins Major Elevator Contract for Patna Metro

Otis India has secured a significant contract to supply 65 Gen2® Nova elevators for the Patna Metro project — a landmark step in Bihar’s infrastructure transformation. The elevators, manufactured at Otis' Bengaluru facility, will be supplied, installed, and maintained by the company.

Designed to enhance accessibility for people with reduced mobility, the elevators support the project's commitment to inclusive, modern public transportation. As Bihar’s first metro system, the Patna Metro is a vital component of India's broader strategy to modernize urban mobility, featuring 26 stations across two lines spanning nearly 30 km.

This project highlights Otis’ contribution to the “Make in India” initiative. By designing and producing elevators locally, Otis promotes domestic manufacturing, job creation, and the delivery of world-class vertical transportation for India’s fast-growing cities. The energy-efficient, space-saving Gen2 Nova elevators will play a key role in improving passenger movement within the metro network.
