Patel Engineering Wins ₹798 Cr. Coal Mining Deal

Patel Engineering has received two Letters of Intent (LoIs) from Saidax Engineers and Infrastructure for work at the Jhiria West Open Cast Project (OCP) in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, operated by South Eastern Coalfields (SECL).

Valued at ₹798.19 crore, the contract covers excavation and related operations, including overburden removal, coal cutting using surface miners, and the loading and transportation of coal. Patel Engineering will also provide and maintain all required equipment, arrange diesel supplies, and ensure the deployment of skilled labour throughout the project.

The contract will be executed over a nine-year period, marking a significant addition to the company’s portfolio in infrastructure and mining services.
