PNC Infratech Strikes Gold with Major ₹2,956 Crore Mining Project

PNC Infratech has been declared the lowest (L1) bidder in a major tender floated by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) for mining and allied services at the Gevra Open Cast Project (OCP) expansion in Chhattisgarh.

The contract, with a quoted value of ₹2,956.65 crore, represents one of the company’s largest bids to date. The scope includes hiring of heavy earth-moving machinery (HEMM) for overburden (OB) removal, coal extraction using surface miners, and loading and transportation of the extracted coal to designated locations within the Gevra OCP site. The project is expected to be executed over a five-year period.

This win marks a significant boost to PNC Infratech’s order book and reinforces its capabilities and competitiveness in securing high-value contracts in the mining and infrastructure sectors.
