Powering North Bihar: ₹125 Cr Infrastructure Expansion Bid

North Bihar Power Distribution Company has invited bids for a large-scale turnkey contract to expand electricity infrastructure and strengthen last-mile power connectivity in northern Bihar.

The project involves appointing an agency to provide new service connections, along with infrastructure extension for loads of up to 150 kW, within the Muzaffarpur circle under NBPDCL’s jurisdiction.

The scope includes the expansion of distribution infrastructure across Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, and Sheohar districts, aimed at improving electricity access and reliability in the region. Technical specifications mandate the use of materials such as mild steel conforming to IS: 2062 Grade ‘A’ or equivalent international standards.

The contract is estimated at ₹125.72 crore, with the bid submission deadline set for May 14, 2026.
