Powering Up India: AESL Commissions Three Key Transmission Projects

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has fully commissioned three power transmission schemes in the first quarter of FY26 (April–June), strengthening its operational footprint in both interstate and intrastate markets. All projects were secured under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism.

The commissioned schemes include:

Khavda II-A Transmission: 355 ckm | Gujarat | Interstate, KPSI Transmission: 43 ckm | 6,000 MVA | Gujarat | Interstate

Sangod Transmission Service: 11 ckm | 1,160 MVA | Rajasthan | Intrastate

With these additions, AESL now operates 5,538 ckm of transmission lines and 26,346 MVA of substation capacity, backed by an investment of approx. Rs 14,900 crore.

As of 30 June 2025, the company is executing projects totaling 7,063 ckm of lines and 47,475 MVA in capacity, with an estimated capex of Rs 5,930 crore. A key new win is the WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission project under TBCB.

AESL plans to commission four more projects by the end of FY26, adding 1,613 ckm and 8,000 MVA, including one HVDC-based intrastate project to supply green energy to Mumbai.
