Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a significant contract from Central Railway to enhance the electric traction system in the Wardha-Ballarshah section of the Nagpur division. The project focuses on upgrading the existing 1 x 25 kV system to a 2 x 25 kV AT Feeding System, aiming to achieve a 3000 MT loading target.
The Letter of Acceptance (LOA) details the total project cost as ₹132.59 crore, inclusive of applicable taxes. This initiative is part of Central Railway's strategic efforts to bolster railway infrastructure and capacity in crucial sections.
The upgrade in the Wardha-Ballarshah section is expected to significantly improve operational efficiency and support higher load capacities, aligning with the broader goals of enhancing the railway network's reliability and performance.
