Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao inspected the ongoing white-topping works on Dr. Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, on October 29, 2025.
During the inspection, Rao emphasised the need to accelerate progress, particularly the installation of drinking water and underground drainage pipelines by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). He also directed officials to fast-track the laying of a 1,000-mm stormwater pipeline to ensure efficient drainage. A 15-day deadline was set to complete these works before commencing the white-topping process.
The project covers a 700-metre stretch from Navarang Theatre to 10th Cross Junction, within the Bengaluru West City Corporation (BWCC) limits. With traffic restricted on one side of the road, the Chief Commissioner instructed officials to implement effective traffic management and safety measures to minimise congestion and ensure public safety. Senior BWCC officials were also present during the inspection.
