Refex GreenPower Awarded Coimbatore Bio-CNG Plant Contract

Refex GreenPower, a fully-owned subsidiary of Refex Renewables, has secured a contract from the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation to establish a 250 tpd municipal solid waste (MSW)-based Bio-CNG plant. The Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the project was issued on April 5, 2025.

Under this agreement, Refex GreenPower will oversee the entire lifecycle of the plant for a 20-year period, including design, construction, financing, operations, and eventual transfer. The project is part of the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0 – Solid Waste Management initiative and will be carried out under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, following the design, build, finance, operate, and transfer (DBFOT) framework.

Throughout the project, Refex GreenPower will adhere to the highest standards in urban waste management practices and ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements.
