Riding the Waves: Kochi Metro Backs Goa’s New Transit Vision

Goa is advancing plans for a Water Metro system to alleviate road congestion, backed by a feasibility study from Kochi Metro Rail (KMRL). The upcoming detailed project report (DPR) will evaluate the transport network's impact and finalize funding models between central and state authorities. Spanning 111 kilometers across nine routes, the initiative is prioritized under the Union government's Phase-I implementation.
