RPG Group's Global Ambition: A $5.2B Vision for Indian Excellence

The $5.2-billion RPG Group is gearing up for an ambitious expansion across its key business verticals, with a clear vision to emerge as a major global player originating from India, according to Vice-Chairman Anant Goenka in an interview with businessline.

Goenka shared that the group has drawn inspiration from some of India’s most respected conglomerates, including the TVS, Mahindra, and Tata groups—particularly for their commitment to quality and operational excellence. “Hearing stories of companies like TVS, Mahindra, and Tata, which stand out for their quality practices, has been a source of inspiration. We've learned from them, and now it’s our responsibility to set similar benchmarks,” he said.

As part of this strategy, KEC International—the infrastructure arm of RPG Group—is aiming to become the second-largest Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm in India, following Larsen & Toubro. The company has already diversified into building semiconductor manufacturing facilities and is now targeting more complex and large-scale project management opportunities.

This expansion marks a pivotal phase for RPG Group as it seeks to elevate its global presence while building on the legacy of Indian industrial excellence.
