₹209 Crore Tender Floated for Sawalkote Hydro Project

NHPC has floated a tender for planning, design, and engineering (PDE) services under the Lot-1 package of the 1856 MW Sawalkote Hydro Electric Project, located near Sidhu village in Ramban district, Jammu & Kashmir.

The scope includes comprehensive planning, detailed design, and engineering support across all phases of the project, from conceptual development to execution assistance. The total project duration for this package is 113 months. The estimated cost is ₹209.80 crore.

NHPC has emphasized strict adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards, in compliance with statutory norms applicable to large-scale hydropower projects.

The deadline for bid submission is 10 September 2025.
