₹4,150 Crore Vijayawada Metro Tender Floated

Andhra Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation has invited bids for the engineering, design, and construction of a 38.40 km viaduct under Phase-1 of the Vijayawada Metro Rail project.

The scope includes a 4.33 km double-decker, four-lane flyover-cum-metro viaduct, construction of one underground metro station, and 32 elevated metro stations, along with all related civil works. The contract will be executed on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis, with an estimated value of ₹4,150 crore.

The overall project completion period is 30 months from the commencement date, with 24 months earmarked specifically for the double-decker flyover segment.

This project is a key step toward improving urban mobility in Vijayawada, easing traffic congestion, and strengthening public transport infrastructure. The bid submission deadline is 17 September 2025.
