Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been awarded the lowest bid (L1) for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract by South Western Railway.
The project involves the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 2x25 kV Overhead Equipment (OHE) and Power Supply Installations (PSI) system. The OHE is responsible for supplying power to trains, while the PSI powers remote systems. Additionally, the contract encompasses electrical general services, engineering, and telecommunication works in the Rayadurga to Topavagada section of the TK-RDG line.
The contract is valued at Rs 156.35 crore, with an 18-month completion timeline.
