Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for a substantial railway project worth Rs 203 crore. This significant contract comes from the South Eastern Railway, a prominent zone under the Ministry of Railways. The project is poised to enhance the infrastructure and efficiency of the rail network, reinforcing RVNL's reputation in the sector.
In addition to this, RVNL has secured another noteworthy contract valued at Rs 187.34 crore from the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation, also known as Nagpur Metro. The company received the letter of acceptance for this project, which involves the construction of six elevated metro stations. These stations will be located at Cantonment, Kamptee Police Station, Kamptee Municipal Council, Dragon Palace, Golf Club, and Kanhan River Metro Station.
The Nagpur Metro project is part of the NMRP Phase-II and is expected to be completed within a 30-month timeframe. This project aims to improve urban connectivity and provide a more efficient transit solution for the residents of Nagpur.
These contracts highlight RVNL's growing influence and capability in executing large-scale infrastructure projects. With both railway and metro sectors under its belt, RVNL continues to contribute significantly to India's transportation infrastructure development.
