Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah recently inaugurated the newly constructed Sabar Dairy Plant at the Industrial Model Township in Rohtak, underscoring the Central Government’s continued focus on strengthening the cooperative sector.
Built at a cost of ₹325 crore, the state-of-the-art facility is equipped with modern machinery and is expected to generate direct and indirect employment for nearly 1,000 individuals, according to an official statement.
The plant will significantly enhance milk processing capacity in the region, while supporting the economic upliftment of local farmers through cooperative-based models. The initiative reflects the government’s broader commitment to promoting rural development and self-reliance through cooperative institutions.
