Salasar Techno Engineering has secured a ₹68.67 crore Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) project from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) for the Puducherry Electricity Department (PED).
Awarded in December 2025, the contract covers the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 110/22 kV GIS substation at Lawspet, Puducherry. The facility is expected to improve power distribution efficiency and enhance grid reliability in the region, while supporting future demand driven by urbanisation and economic growth.
Commenting on the win, Shashank Agarwal, Managing Director of Salasar Techno Engineering, said, “Securing this GIS substation project from POWERGRID reflects Salasar’s continued progress in the high-voltage substation segment.
