Sansera Engineering Ltd has inked a ₹2,100 crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka to enhance its manufacturing capacity in Harohalli, Ramanagara. This significant investment, planned over the next 3 to 5 years, aims to elevate production in both automotive and non-automotive sectors.
The upcoming facility, spread over a 55-acre site, is anticipated to generate around 3,500 direct and indirect jobs, fostering local employment and contributing to economic development. With this expansion, Sansera's manufacturing capacity is expected to increase by approximately ₹3,000 crore.
S. Sekhar Vasan, Chairman & Managing Director of Sansera Engineering, highlighted the importance of this milestone, stating that it aligns with the company's vision of becoming a world-class engineering corporation and maximizing stakeholder value.
The MoU signing ceremony saw the presence of key dignitaries, including M.B. Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development; Dr. Selvakumar S, IAS, Principal Secretary of the Department of Commerce and Industries; and Gunjan Krishna, IAS.
Currently, Sansera Engineering operates over 16 manufacturing facilities, employing more than 8,000 people. With twelve units in Karnataka, the company serves major clients like Volkswagen, Honda, KTM, FCA, and Hero, underscoring its significant role in the industry.
