SCCL Tenders ₹1,044 Crore Mining Contract at Prakasham Khani

Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has floated a tender for the execution of overburden (OB) removal works at the Prakasham Khani opencast project (OC-IV Section) located in the Manuguru Area, Telangana.

The scope of work involves drilling, excavation, loading, transportation, dumping, spreading, and levelling of approximately 771.90 lakh bank cubic metres (LBCM) of in-situ overburden, comprising 747.26 LBCM of hard OB and 24.64 LBCM of coal. The estimated contract value is ₹1,044.66 crore. The tender also includes extraction of about 91.39 LBCM of coal/shale using surface miners, along with associated cutting, loading, and dumping operations.

Additional activities under the contract include deployment of 1,500 shovel hours, 1,500 dozer hours, 5,000 tipper hours, and 1,25,000 running metres (RMT) of drilling at the project site.

The work is to be completed within a period of 36 months. The bid submission deadline is 02 February 2026.
