Serentica Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NTPC to supply 200 MW of firm, dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) to distribution companies in Uttar Pradesh.
The project will leverage a hybrid mix of solar, wind, and battery storage across multiple states to ensure a reliable supply of green energy, particularly during peak morning and evening demand periods. This initiative directly supports India’s clean energy targets by addressing the intermittency challenges of traditional renewables.
By integrating large-scale energy storage, Serentica aims to deliver consistent and dependable power, reducing Uttar Pradesh’s reliance on conventional thermal sources. The infrastructure will feature advanced hybrid configurations optimized for diverse weather and generation conditions.
This model aligns with the government’s decarbonization and sustainability goals by ensuring round-the-clock availability of clean energy, even during periods of low renewable output.
