Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has secured a major contract from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) for the supply of 4,840 stand-alone off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS) across the state.

Awarded under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme, the contract is valued at approximately ₹170.25 crore, inclusive of GST. The scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar-powered pumping systems, with the entire project to be completed within 120 days.

The initiative is expected to strengthen rural water management in Madhya Pradesh by providing sustainable, energy-efficient irrigation and water supply solutions powered by renewable solar energy. Shakti Pumps’ participation in the project underscores its role in advancing clean energy adoption and supporting the government’s efforts to expand solar-powered agricultural infrastructure under the PM-KUSUM scheme.
