The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is set to commence construction of its 35-acre campus along the Yamuna Expressway, marking the institution’s first expansion outside Maharashtra. Approval of the campus master plan has already been completed.
Along the same corridor, the JBM Group has initiated work on its own campus in Yamuna City, while five other educational institutions are in the process of acquiring land. At present, two universities and one medical college are operational in the area.
Further strengthening the education and healthcare ecosystem, Sharda University has submitted a proposal for a 100-acre multi-campus development. The project includes campuses for international universities, a multi-speciality hospital, and innovation facilities, with a proposed investment of ₹5,000 crore. The Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) has also sought 250 acres to establish an integrated university campus offering programmes across medicine, engineering, and other disciplines.
These developments align with the state government’s objective of expanding higher education capacity and strengthening healthcare infrastructure along the Yamuna Expressway corridor.
