Sharika Enterprises, a leading smart energy automation company, has secured a major SCADA automation contract from QMeasure Technologies for BMM Ispat’s Hosapete (Danapur) unit in Karnataka.
As part of its drive toward sustainability and energy self-reliance, BMM Ispat operates captive power plants with a combined capacity of 235 MW, utilizing waste heat recovery, atmospheric fluidized bed (AFBC), and circulating fluidized bed boilers (CFBC).
The company is now modernising its 400 kV substation with SPIN Tech’s Lean Automation™ SCADA platform—a next-gen system designed for smarter energy management. Under the contract, Sharika Enterprises will replace legacy IEC 61850-based IEDs and Bay Controllers with a self-configuring SCADA solution, enabling real-time monitoring and control of critical power infrastructure.
This digital upgrade is expected to significantly boost operational efficiency, reliability, and productivity. A ₹2,000 crore company, BMM Ispat has consistently embraced advanced technologies to enhance process optimisation and value creation in the steel and power sectors.
