Shri Mahavir Sthan Nyas Samiti plans to set up Viraat Ramayana Mandir Project in Bihar

The Shri Mahavir Sthan Nyas Samiti is currently in the process of developing a new project known as the Viraat Ramayana Mandir in the region of Kaithwalia, located in Paschimi Champaran, Bihar. The project will encompass the development of an expansive temple that will portray many episodes from the epic narrative of the Ramayana. Additionally, the temple would include a colossal Shiva temple. The primary objective of the temple project is to facilitate the promotion of the Ramayana epic and foster religious tourism. The project has successfully obtained a total of 50 acres of land. The commencement of construction is anticipated to take place in the year 2024, with an estimated completion date set for 2025.

 The project is allocated a budget of b9100 crore. The construction of the temple will adhere to the architectural style prevalent in the region of Rajasthan. The structure would contain a substantial sanctum sanctorum that will accommodate idols representing the deities Rama, Sita, and Lakshman.Additionally, the establishment will include a spacious hall adorned with sculptures and artworks that portray various episodes from the ancient Hindu tale, the Ramayana.The temple project possesses the capacity to transform Kaithwalia into a prominent tourist attraction. 

Upon the completion of the development, it is anticipated that the site will draw tourists from both India and several international destinations. Additionally, the project will serve as a means to generate employment possibilities for individuals residing in the local community. As of September 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started the work on the project will be finished in 2024, 2025 or 2026 It has been decided to hire a local contractor.
