Shri Sant Damaji SSK planning to set up Captive Power Project in Maharashtra

Shri Sant Damaji SSK Limited intends to build a molasses-based distillery at Mangalwedha, Solapur, Maharashtra. The project is still in the planning stages, but it will be a 200 KLPD distillery with a captive power plant of 3 MW.The total cost of the project is Rs. 150 crore. The project is planned to be completed between 2025 and 2026.The distillery will generate ethanol, which can be utilized as a biofuel or as a feedstock in other sectors. 

The project is estimated to generate approximately 100 direct and indirect jobs.The distillery is projected to assist the local community in a variety of ways. It will be a source of employment and revenue while also reducing the amount of molasses currently disposed away.
