Sigachi's "Make in India" Push with Dahej SEZ Expansion

Sigachi Industries has received environmental clearance from the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Gujarat, for a major greenfield manufacturing project at Dahej SEZ in Bharuch. This facility marks one of the company’s most significant capacity expansions to date.

Strategically located within the Special Economic Zone to drive export growth and operational efficiency, the plant will have an installed production capacity of 3,120 MT per month. It will produce a wide range of cellulose and starch-based pharmaceutical excipients and other high-value functional ingredients, catering to the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food-grade markets.

The Dahej project strengthens Sigachi’s global expansion strategy, enhances its production capabilities, and ensures regulatory compliance for international supply chains. It also aligns with India’s “Make in India” initiative and the country’s export-driven growth ambitions.
