SRM Contractors Limited has entered into a significant agreement with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for an EPC project worth ₹100.45 crore. This contract marks a pivotal step in enhancing road safety and infrastructure in the challenging terrains of Himachal Pradesh.
The project entails crucial slope protection work along the hillside stretch from Km 67+000 to Km 106+139 on the Parwanoo-Solan section of NH22, now known as NH55. This section is notorious for its landslide-prone areas, making the project essential for ensuring safe passage for travelers.
Under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) mode, SRM Contractors Limited will be responsible for the comprehensive execution of the project. This includes detailed planning, procurement of materials, and the construction of robust slope protection structures to mitigate the risks of landslides.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve the safety and reliability of the NH55, a critical highway that serves as a vital link in the region's transportation network. By addressing the slope stability issues, the project aims to prevent disruptions and accidents caused by landslides, enhancing the overall travel experience.
This agreement underscores SRM Contractors Limited's commitment to contributing to national infrastructure development and ensuring safer roads for the public.
