Studds Accessories is set to invest around ₹150–160 crore in its fifth manufacturing facility, which will feature its highest level of automation to date. The plant, expected to be commissioned by July 2026, will be developed in two phases—an initial ₹100 crore investment followed by an additional ₹50–60 crore expansion.
According to Managing Director Sidhartha Khurana, the expansion is driven by ongoing capacity constraints and rising demand across both domestic and export markets. The new facility will incorporate advanced robotics, connected manufacturing systems, and modern production technologies to boost efficiency and output.
Approximately 5–10% of the total investment will be allocated to automation and related technologies. The plant will feature robotics, IoT-enabled systems, and a fully automated paint shop, making it the company’s most technologically advanced unit.
However, Khurana noted that certain processes—such as stitching, graphics application, and final assembly—cannot be fully automated and will continue to rely on human intervention, resulting in a hybrid production model.
The new facility is expected to significantly enhance production capacity and further strengthen Studds’ presence in both Indian and global helmet markets.
