Suzlon x Yanara: A 306 MW Partnership Power-Up

Suzlon Group and Yanara have expanded their partnership with two new wind energy contracts of 153 MW each, supporting Yanara’s firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects in Barmer, Rajasthan.

Under the agreement, Suzlon will supply 102 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a capacity of 3 MW. The order further reinforces Suzlon’s strong presence in Rajasthan’s wind energy market, where it commands a 44% market share. This marks Yanara’s second repeat order with Suzlon within the same year, highlighting the strength of their collaboration.

With more than 2.3 GW of installed wind capacity in Rajasthan, Suzlon has played a key role in establishing the state as one of India’s major renewable energy hubs. Power generated from these projects will partially fulfill Yanara’s power purchase commitments with utilities such as NTPC and NHPC.

Yanara is developing a diversified portfolio of hybrid renewable energy projects aimed at accelerating India’s clean energy transition and supporting the national target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. Commenting on the partnership, a Yanara spokesperson said, “We are advancing the next wave of India’s energy innovation through multi-technology clean energy solutions.”
