Swacch Bio's ₹1,000 Crore Bet on Telangana's Biofuel Future

Swacch Bio, a prominent player in lignocellulosic biofuels, is set to make a significant investment in Telangana with a new 250KLPD second-generation bioethanol plant. The company is committing over ₹1,000 crore to the first phase of this ambitious project, which is expected to generate 500 jobs, split evenly between the plant and ancillary roles.

Chairperson Praveen Paripati announced the plan after a productive meeting with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his team during the Chief Minister's US tour. The State government has pledged full support for Swacch Bio's investment, emphasizing its commitment to fostering innovation and economic growth.

Swacch Bio's international collaborator, Suganit Biorenewables, brings cutting-edge patented technology to the project, enabling the efficient production of biofuels and biochemicals from biomass and cellulose. This partnership ensures that the new plant will be at the forefront of sustainable fuel production.

The new facility is just the beginning of Swacch Bio's vision for Telangana. The company plans to establish additional plants in the state, aiming to transform Telangana into a major hub for biofuels and positioning it at the forefront of the renewable energy sector in India.

This substantial investment not only underscores Swacch Bio's commitment to sustainable energy but also promises significant economic benefits for Telangana, driving job creation and technological advancement in the region.
