Tata Power has signed a preliminary agreement with Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) to establish a training framework supporting Bhutan’s goal of developing 5,000 MW of clean energy capacity.
According to the company, the initiative will focus on building a skilled workforce for Bhutan’s expanding renewable energy sector. The training programmes will be conducted through the Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI).
Praveer Sinha stated that the collaboration reflects a shared vision of creating a future-ready talent ecosystem for Bhutan’s growing clean energy industry.
The partnership is expected to strengthen technical expertise and workforce preparedness in areas related to hydropower and other renewable energy projects as Bhutan continues to accelerate its clean energy expansion plans.
