Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran announced a significant investment in a new electronics manufacturing unit in Assam, further solidifying the company's commitment to the state.
This follows the Rs 27,000-crore semiconductor project in Jagiroad. In addition, Tata Group will partner with the state government on green energy initiatives, including solar and renewable power generation projects.
At the Advantage Assam business summit, Chandrasekaran highlighted the group’s enduring relationship with Assam. He described the semiconductor facility as "the most significant investment in the state so far" and confirmed plans for an additional large-scale electronics manufacturing unit. The group's green energy investments will primarily focus on solar and renewable power generation in collaboration with the state government.
