The Good Fashion Fund (GFF), managed by impact investment firm FOUNT, has invested in Sharadha Terry Products (STPPL)—a leading manufacturer and exporter of premium bed and bath products under the MicroCotton brand, headquartered in Metupalayam, Tamil Nadu.
The investment will support STPPL’s diversification into the rug segment through the establishment of a new manufacturing unit, Sri Gugan Mills, also located in Metupalayam. Funds will be used to install advanced tufting machinery with an annual production capacity of four million square meters. The facility will specialize in dope-dyed polyester and cotton bath rugs, including innovative product lines currently in development.
With this expansion, STPPL aims to increase its revenue potential and strengthen its position as a comprehensive provider of sustainably produced home textiles. The official launch of ‘Sharadha Rugs’ at Heimtextil 2025 in Frankfurt marks the company’s strategic entry into the rug market, reinforcing its commitment to high-quality, eco-conscious design.
Sustainability remains central to STPPL’s operations, with a significant share of its energy needs met by captive renewable sources—including 5.1 MW of wind energy and a 10.1 MW solar power facility. This initiative aligns closely with GFF’s mission to drive sustainability-led innovation in the fashion and textile industries, supporting STPPL’s vision for responsible growth.
