The Ner Expansion: WRD Bids Open for Satara Irrigation

The Water Resources Department (WRD), Maharashtra, has invited bids for construction works related to Ner Lift Irrigation Scheme No. 3 and No. 4 in Khatav taluka of Satara district.

The projects will be implemented under the Guruvarya Late Laxmanraoji Inamdar Lift Irrigation Scheme. The scope of work includes the construction of head works, pump houses, switchyards, rising mains, and delivery chambers, along with associated civil, mechanical, and electrical works. It also involves the supply, lowering, and laying of MS pipes, PCCP pipes, and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, hydraulic testing, and the erection of cast iron (CI) double-flanged butterfly valves.

The projects are expected to significantly enhance irrigation capacity in the region.

The defect liability period is 60 months from the date of issue of the completion certificate. Bids must be submitted by January 20, 2026.
