The Rajpura Expansion: Pidilite’s ₹300Cr Power Move

Punjab Cabinet Minister for Industry and Commerce, Sanjeev Arora, announced that Pidilite Industries Limited will set up a new manufacturing facility in Rajpura, Punjab, with an investment of Rs 300 crore.

Spread across 31 acres in Majri Faqiran and Sohne Majra, the plant will focus on the mixing and blending of water-based adhesives and waterproofing products. The facility will have an annual production capacity of 200,000 metric tonnes, comprising 140,000 MT of adhesives and 60,000 MT of waterproofing products. The project is expected to generate around 300 direct and indirect employment opportunities across skilled, semi-skilled, and supervisory roles.

The investment will be funded entirely through internal accruals, with commercial production scheduled to commence by December 2027. The new facility is expected to play a significant role in boosting industrial growth and employment in the region.
