Thiruverkadu Floats Tender for ₹376 Cr. Drainage Upgrade

Thiruverkadu Municipality in Tamil Nadu has floated a tender for the development of a comprehensive underground sewerage system within its jurisdiction.

The ₹376.53 crore project includes the design, construction, and commissioning of underground sewer lines, pumping stations, manholes, and sewage treatment facilities. Aimed at both residential and commercial zones, the initiative seeks to resolve persistent issues of sewage overflow and related public health concerns.

Once completed, the project is expected to significantly improve sanitation, hygiene, and overall living conditions in Thiruverkadu by replacing outdated and insufficient drainage infrastructure. It also supports the Tamil Nadu government’s broader efforts to modernise urban infrastructure under various public health and environmental sustainability programs.

The last date for bid submission is 24 September 2025.
