The Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) will establish an aviation training academy in Kovilpatti, announced by Minister for Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Geetha Jeevan. This initiative aims to open opportunities for students from the southern districts to enter the aviation sector, enhancing regional educational and career prospects.
Additionally, a new industrial estate is planned for Kadambur. This development aligns with Chief Minister MK Stalin's commitment to industrial growth and infrastructure improvement. The Minister highlighted that Rs 425 crore has been allocated to the Thoothukudi Corporation to address basic infrastructure needs, such as constructing drainage systems and stormwater canals, essential for flood prevention and urban resilience.
The mini Tidel Park on Tiruchendur Road is also close to completion, promising to boost local economic activity and provide modern facilities for businesses. These projects reflect the government's focus on balanced regional development and creating employment opportunities across various sectors.
With these initiatives, Tamil Nadu aims to strengthen its industrial base, enhance educational infrastructure, and ensure sustainable urban development, driving economic growth and improving the quality of life for its residents.
