Tiruchi is Leveling Up: Inside the ₹462.50-Cr TIDEL Park Project

Construction of the upcoming TIDEL Park at Panjapur, located along the Tiruchi–Madurai Highway, is progressing as scheduled, with completion targeted in 2026.

The ₹462.50-crore project is being jointly developed by the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) and the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) on a 14.16-acre site near the Integrated Bus Terminus. Tiruchi Corporation has leased the land for 45 years and holds a 25.6% stake in the project. Construction commenced in February 2025 with an 18-month completion timeline. Key preliminary works, including pile foundation construction, relocation of overhead power lines, and shifting of underground drainage pipelines, have been completed, while construction activities continue to gain momentum.

Upon completion, the facility will provide approximately 5.5 lakh sq. ft. of built-up space across seven floors and feature modern infrastructure such as a conference hall, data centre, food courts, and parking facilities. Designed to accommodate around 10,000 employees, TIDEL Park is expected to attract IT, IT-enabled services (ITES), BPO firms, and startups, strengthening Tiruchi’s position as an emerging technology and business hub.
