Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL) has successfully commissioned NHPC’s 450 MWp solar project at Karnisar Bhatiyan in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
Executed over 2.5 years, the project showcases TPREL’s strong project management and technical expertise. The plant, which supplies power to PSPCL, is expected to generate approximately 17,230 million units of clean electricity over its lifetime. Equipped with 7,75,000 high-efficiency DCR-compliant modules, the project overcame challenges such as extreme temperatures and difficult terrain through the use of advanced technologies, including bifacial DCR modules and high-performance inverters.
In addition to its technical achievements, the project created employment opportunities for more than 300 local workers, contributing to the regional economy. Together with major projects like SJVN’s 1 GW installation and NLC’s 300 MW project, this development underscores TPREL’s growing role in advancing India’s renewable energy targets.
