Tripura to Build New 200-Bed Maternity & Child Care Wing

The Public Works Department (PWD) of Tripura has issued a tender for the construction of a 200-bed maternal and child health (MCH) wing at AGMC and GBP Hospital. The project falls under the PM-DevINE Scheme, emphasizing comprehensive planning and execution, including surveying, sub-soil investigation, design, statutory clearances, and preparation of technical data.

The scope also covers quality assurance, construction programming, and site development, ensuring a robust framework for project implementation. Valued at Rs 192 crore, the contract is to be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) turnkey basis, ensuring single-point responsibility. This approach aims to streamline the process, from consultancy to completion, within a stipulated 28-month timeframe.

The tender outlines detailed requirements for data collection, sub-soil investigation, and other preparatory work, ensuring all aspects of the project are meticulously planned and executed. The comprehensive nature of the project demands precision in planning and execution, highlighting the importance of thorough preparation and quality assurance.

Prospective bidders must submit their proposals by 31 July 2024. This deadline ensures that the project timeline remains on track, emphasizing the urgency and significance of the MCH wing's development. The new facility aims to enhance maternal and child healthcare services in Tripura, addressing critical healthcare needs in the region.
