Ullala Underground: ₹100 Cr Power Project Takes Shape

Mangalore Electricity Supply has issued a tender for converting the existing overhead electrical distribution network into an underground cable system in Ullala, under the Mangaluru division.

The project, valued at ₹100.43 crore, will be executed on a total turnkey basis. The scope includes laying underground cables using trenchless technology, particularly Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), along with excavation for cable trenches, site preparation, and other associated works. This upgrade aims to modernise Ullala’s power infrastructure, enhance reliability, and reduce risks commonly associated with overhead lines in urban areas.

The last date for bid submission is 2 January 2026.
