The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has approved the issuance of Letters of Comfort (LoCs) for 12 new investment projects in the state, with a combined investment value of ₹16,000 crore. The approved proposals span ultra-mega, super-mega, and mega categories, with individual investments ranging from ₹500 crore to ₹3,000 crore.
Key projects include a solar manufacturing park proposed by SNL Renewable Power in Meerut, a consumer electronics manufacturing facility by Ambar Enterprises in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area of Gautam Buddha Nagar, and a PCB and semiconductor manufacturing unit planned by Ascent-K Circuit in the same region. The Cabinet also cleared proposals for the establishment of a specialist doctor recruitment board and the setting up of retail compressed biogas outlets in Barabanki by Reliance Industries.
In addition, the state government approved the establishment of two new universities—Kashi Naresh University in Bhadohi and Swami Shukdevanand University in Shahjahanpur. A senior official stated that these initiatives are expected to accelerate economic growth, strengthen infrastructure, and enhance educational and healthcare capacity across Uttar Pradesh.
