Vasai-Virar Floats Rs 321 Cr Tender for Water Supply Upgrade

The Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC) has announced a significant project to enhance its water supply system. As part of the Amrut 2.0 Scheme, VVCMC has floated a tender for the augmentation and strengthening of its water distribution network.

This ambitious project falls under Package-2 and includes comprehensive works such as providing, laying, lowering, and commissioning distribution mains of various diameters. Additionally, the project entails the construction of an elevated storage reservoir (ESR) to ensure improved water storage and distribution capabilities.

The total value of the contract is pegged at Rs 321.03 crore, reflecting the scale and importance of the project to the region's infrastructure development. The investment underscores VVCMC’s commitment to providing reliable and enhanced water supply services to its residents.

Prospective bidders should note that the closing date for bid submission is set for 30 July 2024. This timeline provides adequate opportunity for interested parties to prepare and submit their proposals for this critical infrastructure project.

The augmentation project is expected to significantly bolster the water supply system, ensuring better service delivery and meeting the growing demand in the Vasai-Virar region.
